The Obama Girls of Comedy return to DC to ring in the Inauguration. We will be teaming up with Comedy Against Evil to present one fabulous night of hilarity to hail to the new chief. Come celebrate a new era of hope and change as we all have a ball and bring sexy back to the Democrats.

A few months back, The Obama Girls of Comedy, a group of comedians hit the road to raise awareness that women were voting for Obama in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia and North Carolina. The group is made up of stellar women comedians who have appeared on Comedy Central, VH-1 and network TV. Throughout the pre-election season, we traveled to 5 states and raised a ruckus. We had our share of highs and lows and feast or famine as we ran out of gas, were mistaken for hookers, played at a few bars straight out of The Accused, volunteered for the campaign and witnessed the most awkward karaoke on earth. On November 4, victory was just particularly sweet when all the states we visited went blue. Yep that was us.

Meanwhile their friend and comedy cohort, Jeff Kreisler did his part to spread the word on Obama. Touring Red, Blue, and Purple states, Comedy Against Evil brought laughter to voters in cities from Seattle to Dallas, Cleveland to LA, Houston, Cincinatti, Dayton, Gainesville and more! Along the way, we made many friends, had countless laughs, and twice escaped lynching. We didn't change the world, but we had fun. Now a new, ever-shifting group of concerned performers picks up the pieces and continues the fight. Award winners and accomplished professionals, today's brightest satirists will share their "fair and balanced"* perspectives on the issues of the day.
On Sunday, January 18 the two shows join forces at DC Arts in Adams Morgan, featuring comedian and writer Jeff Kreisler (Comedy Central’s Indecision 2008, BBC & Bill Hicks Spirit Award Winner), The Goddess Perlman (Last Comic Standing, Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad), Hilary Schwartz (XM Radio) and friends. We are vchanging hearts and minds, one laugh at a time.

Every state we toured went BLUE. Who swung it? OH, YES WE DID!

Thanks to everyone who participated and supported our efforts. We had a very fun ride. The shows were great and the audience stellar. We played a cornucopia of venues from music halls to listening rooms to theaters to the bar straight out of "The Accused" (and I had to bring my mother to see me there). We volunteered for the campaign in Dayton, witnessed the best karaoke version of "Purple Rain" ever in Bloomington, ate at IHOP in Charlottesville and Norfolk. Within 24 hours of being in Raleigh, we ran out of gas on the highway, I sat in the back of a police car then was later mistaken for a hooker by the hotel staff. Of course, a few of us got a little road booty, one encounter happened right on stage when Obama won. Fun times had by all.

We are trying to figure if there is a next step for the Obama Girls of Comedy - Some type of Inauguration/Karl Rove Pink Slip Show might be in store after the holidays. We are completely up for suggestions.

The Obama Girls of Comedy went to Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, DC, North Carolina and Virginia. The shows were absolutely terrific. Our audiences left happy and inspired. You are probably wondering if we made a difference. You Betcha! This project was about using our collective creativity to raise awareness. We did just that. In the 6 short weeks of our existence, we were able to book 11 venues across 5 swing states, get press in about 15-20 publications as well as being all over the internet.

THE RESULTS
Pennsylvania is no longer a swing state, Obama is up 12 points. He’s ahead 4 points in Ohio, 1 point in Indiana, 9 points in Virginia and 6 points in North Carolina. You are so welcome America, not a problem at all. Florida even got off the Straight BS Express. Thanks Big Schlep!

At this point, things look good for Barack but I don’t trust those faulty machines, butterfly ballots and self-entitled Republicans. Please call up any relatives, friends from camp, old college roommates in Ohio, Indiana and Florida, tell them sincerely why you are voting for Obama. You too can make a difference. The Obama Girls of Comedy is off and running and on the road. It is bring down the house or as they say my hometown of Pittsburgh "Bringing dahn da haus and all dat"

People are loving the show. Skeptical reporters/press have come with their stink eye and their "who do these beyatches think they are" swagger and each one has departed in utter jubilance. It warms my heart.

It's has been a wonderful ride so far as we have encounter a wide range of people who are supporting OBAMA and want to make this country great again. I have alot of hope. It is very encouraging upon the battleground. When Obama captured my attention in 2004 with his Blue in red states and viceversa, he wasn't pulling that out of his cooter.

Also the Fall Foilage in PA is currently outstanding, it was like tripping down the Pennsylvania turnpike.

Couple of things, keep on spreading the word about the tour.
