As seen in the Washington Post Magazine article "CEO of ME Inc." This group is open to anyone interesed in Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership (students, mentors, entrepreneurs, and class alumnae). Many group members are following along virtually with the George Washington University's award-winning Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Class (MGT191/MGT290). Join this group if you:
- Want to enhance your leadership skills, plan a new venture, and think entrepreneurially.
- Interested in events and resources around entrepreneurship - events and selected class resources will be posted to this group.
- Are a: past or potential future member of the WEL class, or,
- Are a: past or potential future mentor or speaker of the WEL class.
- Interested in experiencing the class virtually and receiving access to selected materials.
Who takes the class? Business and non business majors, undergraduate and graduate, from the George Washington University as well as other universities in our learning consortium. Entrepreneurs are sought out as speakers and mentors for the class. In interested, please email the instructor or join this group.
When: Spring Semester 2009, Thursdays, 11.10 to 1.
Why: GW's WEL class is the recipient of a National Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education award which led to a ranking of the GWSB entrepreneurship program in Fortune Small Business.
Who: The class will be taught by Kathy Korman Frey, adjunct professor, a co-developer of the WEL class, and founder of the Hot Mommas Project research initiative.
