Y THEATRE!!!
We'll be launching at The Y on Tuesday 7th of October - simultaneously celebrating Black History Season and the period around National Poetry Day.
Henceforth we'll be happening at The Y on the first TUESDAY of every month. The Notorious World Raffle will be replaced by the jolly decent ticket price of £2/3.

Right, now for some handy tips for getting to know your WORD!...
1. WORD! is Leicester's longest running spoken word night.
2. It always features an open mic AND an exciting pro booked act.
3. If you want to perform on the open mic, arrive for 7.30pm - the list fills fast.
4. ....We're really sorry, we can't pre-book you a slot.
5. We love you. We love your work. Your ORIGINAL
work...leave the Keats and Hegley for the interval, read your own stuff over the mic!
6. WORD! is constituted voluntary group, run entirely on it's ticket price (previously raffle). Your ticket price pays for the booked act - without whom the night, would be less of a night.
