A campaign to raise awareness and to provoke debate and action in response to the way in which women are represented in the media.
So far, since November 2008, we've done the following:
- a month-long project to start the campaign. The outcomes include statistics on the representation of women in cinema and on television, findings on idealised women in magazines, guerilla action, a documentary film, and a playboy babygrow.
- a presentation at St Werburghs
- a sold-out presentation at the CUBE
- presented at a journalists conference in London
- put on two exhibitions at WIndows 204, one of which is on NOW and includes workshops and lectures.
