What is Nabuur?

Nabuur is a Dutch organisation, aimed at helping communities in developing countries by hosting an online volunteering website. Volunteers (known as 'neighbours') come together from all parts of the world to assist these communities (known as villages) by providing their knowledge, skills, expertise, contacts and most importantly, their time to ensure that the projects created ends with a success. A true example of globalisation by opening up all boundaries and defines the meaning of a 'neighbour.'

Mukuru Kwa Njenga?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mukuru Kwa Njenga is an 'online village' in Nabuur.com and its Local Representative (LR) needs the help of everyone who has and wishes to volunteer to assist her in the tasks in the Project Page.

Tasks consist of searching for organisations that can offer support in the product making as well as a collaboration. Also, education materials and training on small business enterprise skills is needed for the women artisans and searching for consultants for product development and design. Finally, marketing opportunities are greatly needed to market these products.

They would like to be financially independent to support their families and have basic necessities.

Your Role?

This is where you come into the picture as volunteers and better known as 'neighbours' in Nabuur.com. You enter with your knowledge, skills, expertise, contact and time to assist in the tasks that has been outlined in the 'Project' page.

Don't worry if you have no clue about what's going on but still have the intention to volunteer. Just join us in Kalna and I will do my very best to guide you through the steps as the tasks are laid out in most simplicity.
