NEO SOUL LONDON - A group sharing information on Neo Soul Events, Artists & Recordings in the London & South East Area of UK, Europe.

Neo Soul has a growing underground following globally & increasingly here in the UK, but the genre realistically at this stage is still a very niche area.

This Group has been set up in answer to the many requests we get for information on Neo Soul events in the London area. There is a steady group of people into this genre, this groups aim is to be a ref. point, listings guide & platform for those events & artists active in the London area. Those of you who frequent London's clubs will know there are so many events happening, this is why we felt the need for a specific London group for this sub genre.
We are not seeking to box parts of music off or deal in absolute statements on music, genre and sub-genres - but answering requests for info on this aspect of the music in the London area.


Neo Soul London - play your part...

To the CLUBBERS: You need to support the nights & events catering for this genre if you want those events to still be there when you want a night out.
Why? because by the nature of a niche sub genre such as Neo Soul + it's distinct and sometimes less accessable musical sounds (IE: 2/4 drum patterns, spacious dubby music sequences) the un-initiated take time to adjust to this new sound. So please support, we are a self supporting scene. Thank You.

To The PROMOTERS:
Promoters, DJs, Artists & Club Owners & Managers -
by all means - please do post your information up be it your club night, artist recordings, releases or concerts, websites or anything else relevant to the Neo Soul Genre - particularly within the London and surrounding areas.


Regarding posting in this group -
Please keep it on point, if it's relevant - then it's not spam.
If you know your events or recordings are blatently little or no Neo Soul content - please post elsewhere.
(IE: House only events, R&B only events, Hip Hop only Events, Bashment only events - please post in a relevant group as we are trying to raise awareness on a less covered area of music - Neo Soul in London - thanks for your understanding).
if you know the posts are nothing to do with Neo Soul, post those elsewhere.
