Hi all,
It’s been a couple of weeks since I put ‘pen to paper’ so to speak and wrote my mumblings about the Pincast, I thought I’d give it a bit of a break this end.( As far as I know, only two people read my mad ramblings anyway)
Anyway, lets see now, hmm, what’s new, well, yes, pins are still being released……some better than others………I recall John having a problem with a particular word (courtesy of Mr Ed Castle) in a recent show that made me smile for a good period of time
We’ve also seen the evolution of the ‘Mickey Awards’ to the ‘IPLA Awards’ (sorry guys, I prefer my title…), I strongly urge everybody to send in their entries and nominations for this, you have until December 18th to do so.
And who could fail to know about the ‘new kid on the block’, (unless you live in a cave) The Vinylmation Station website (and forthcoming podcast I believe)
What can I say, the guys never stop beavering away with their endeavours, I have to say there are concerns and views being expressed about how far those commitments can be fulfilled at the potential expense of other projects, but my take on the subject is this.
Tom and John do the Pincast completely of their own volition, no-one pays them, and they give their time of their own free will.
So, in my book, that means their decisions are theirs to make and theirs alone.
One possible ‘moan’ I might have is that we aren’t always privy to information concerning the release of the Pincast and that it has, in recent times, become a little ‘haphazard’ in it’s expected release times.
I know John does his best in keeping us informed about such things, but, I have to say that as far as I’m aware, the show production and release is ultimately down to Tom, who, I’m sure, does his best to get it out on time.
I still think it’s a great show, I never miss a download and that’s getting on for 88 episodes now !!, guess I’m an addict..:)
Oh, and I do like the new Epcot pins talked about on Pincast 87, way cool, I’m also a fan of the Showcase Pavilion set as well :)
And one more thing.
I’m aware of John commenting about this group and the structure of it, so I’d like to clarify a few things.
I can categorically state that I created this group from my own thoughts and ideas; it is in no way a part of the WDWNT network and is totally independent of the Disney Pincast, although I am more than proud to have both Tom and John as members and friends here.
