The rooftop and 2 floored Sunday sensation with fine Beverages, BBQ, Cocktails, Music, Laughter and plenty of Disco Dancing returns with another killer line up'
Tropicana's very special 'Escape from New York' Summer Sunday Roof Top BBQ and evening sessions return on Sunday 7th June. The fun filled daytime BBQ party will be taking place on the rather gorgeous roof top terrace 5 floors above the newly opened Queen of Hoxton with panoramic views of the whole of East London.
This is Tropicana’s third return to the Queen's amazing Roof Terrace (the last party was full by 8pm) which has a lovely outside cocktail bar (as it is Tropicana), Palm Tree's, Bamboo fencing and the venue's own Australian BBQ master, Ian laying on a tasty Tropic BBQ. We are looking to enjoy a lazy afternoon with live acoustic sessions & fun garden activities to get everyone in the party spirit then the crazy party carries on downstairs for 2 floors of musical mayhem. The venue will be decorated in true Tropicana style for the party as Neil & Dan continue their series of very special monthly Tropical parties. Our live act Sourya will launch the evening party bringing their fresh sounds to the basement’s club stage while the Invitee DJs lay on the party tunes on the fantastic ground floor bar and Tropicana’s real party spirit will come into swing…This is not the party to miss if you are thirsting for the coolest sounds, craftiest producers and friendliest vibes as the Tropicana boys keep a firm pulse on the buzz, pulling in the best international acts for everyone to enjoy at our local boozer…

Carrying on our party plan of bringing a fantastic guest dj every event from NYC this time we welcome disco remix du jour Prince Language who’s remixes are the talk of town from The Rapture to Armand Van Helden to LCD Sound system. The Prince is a regular on the NYC disco scene often spinning with the DFA boys, Brennan Green and Tim Sweeney. His amazing Disco edits can be found on the Editors label. We have been trying to get him over for a few years now so we are pretty excited. His remix of our live guest tonight Sourya has been a Tropicana anthem.

Sourya (LIVE)
www.myspace.com/sourya
Sourya has become one of the most anticipated bands to emerge from France and its blossoming Parisian electro scene. Their sound is not to be confused with the guitar lead bands we are hearing at the moment, and were described in NME as purveyors of resplendent and soulful electronica. Formed in late 2006 having met at the infamous Shebeen in Paris, Sourya talents did not go unnoticed and they were brought to the attention of Universal publishing who were overwhelmed by the freshness of the Sourya sound. They have been championed by Alan McGee (Creation Records) as probably the most successful band to come out of France in the last 20 years.
The Lovebox Allstars
The Lovebox Allstars met in their teens in Cambridge to a backdrop of rare-groove, rave, hip-hop and house. Sound system parties in warehouses, forests, fields and on beaches sent them on a 20 year journey digging in dollar bins and boot sales the world over in search of disco explosives. Along the way they have worked sound systems from America to Australia, Liverpool to Latvia, Nottingham to Norway, including all of London's biggest and best including The End, The Ministry, Fabric, Turnmills, Heaven, The Cross, Bagleys and Neighbourhood, not withstanding countless Soho back rooms and Hackney basements. They were present at the birth of the Shoreditch scene at the Blue Note's seminal nights and when the 333 was still a gay pub with an upstairs room where you could get away with Disco murder.Having been of late, all consumed with getting Lovebox, London's biggest and best music festival, up and running, and quietly providing the visual flavour to Horse Meat Disco, the duo are returning to roots and donning the cans more and more and coming to a party near you.
Allez- Allez
www.myspace.com/allezallez
Allez-Allez are Sam Willis and Steve Nolan. Rapidly gaining a reputation as two of London's brightest and most talented up-and coming producers / DJs, their sets are a mixture of all things weird, wonderful and danceable - think krautrock / minimal / industrial / house. Allez-Allez's debut single 'Defeatist' will be released in mid '09 on the respected Kompakt related label Boxer Recordings, whilst they have also supplied blissed out dancefloor rerubs for Pitchfork favourites High Places and italo-disco kings Heartbreak.Their blog / podcast series (located at www.allez- allez.co.uk) features exclusive weekly mixes from Allez-Allez, plus carefully selected guest mixes from the likes of Hot Chip, Four Tet, Andrew Weatherall, Lindstrom, Optimo, Ewan Pearson and Joakim amongst many others. They have hosted parties for and played alongside the likes of James Holden, Michael Mayer, LCD's James Murphy, Optimo, Four Tet, Shackleton, Hercules & Love Affair and Gui Borrato to name a few.
Jefferson (Control Alt Delete)

Jefferson has been working within the music industry for the last 15 years, firstly as a promoter since 1993, and as a DJ/Producer under his Disco Assassins Moniker, which saw him signed to cool Indie labels such as kingsize, supercharged and Against the Grain and French label Mobil Home. He has been on bills over europe with the likes of Justice and Basement Jaxx and played festivals such as Nordik impakt and Trans Musicals in Renne where his Market was. He set up his studio “Airtight” in 1998, Which helped launch the careers of a wealth of recognizable producers of today such as Sam Bell, (bloc party, Snow Patrol) Mark Rankin,(Kate Nash, Sam Sparrow) Dj Lynx,(Creative Source) Jona (Get Physical) and Friction. In 2008 Jeff started Ctrl Alt Del Records and was one of the pioneers, instrumental in bringing over the now recognizable “French Revolution” scene to the UK.
