Debating Matters is a debate competition for high school students. Intiallly a British schools’ debate programme
Debating Matters was very well received by the Indian schools when we launched it in 2008.

The competition is pioneered by the Institute of Ideas (IOI) sponsored by Shell companies in India and the Wellcome Trust ( whose support extends to the competition in India as well)

The debate format aims to engage students in debating the complexities of real world issues, like free speech, clinical trials, role of pluralism and diversity in India.

The role of judges is critical in the competition, we involve high level professionals from all fields to interrogate and engage in the debates.

The competition is split into three stages. The events and the dates for the same are mentioned below:-

Stage 1: Online Elimination Test
