Aalto Entrepreneurship Society is multidisciplinary, Finland-base, but global initiative to make world more entrepreneurial. It is the fastest growing and most active among all student-run groups in the world.
Our aim is to help startups from Aalto University and other universities to find ideas, team members, finance, and create networks and skill sets. This way they are able to succeed in their entrepreneurial ventures.
Our history dates back to January 2009, when a group of students gather together to start creating the entrepreneurial ecosystem of new Aalto University (http://www.aaltoyliopisto.info/en/). This new university combines the best design, business, and engineering universities in Finland:
▪ Helsinki School of Economics
HSE | http://www.hse.fi/en
▪ Helsinki University of Technology
TKK | http://www.tkk.fi/en
▪ University of Art and Design Helsinki
TaiK | http://www.taik.fi/en
In grass-root level we organize events and trainings for like-minded students and alumni to meet each other and learn skills needed to get started with a new business. The society is also the first official student-run society combing students of new Aalto University.
We believe in: Light structures, social entrepreneurship, personal networks, teams, growth entrepreneurship, serial entrepreneurs, Finnish technology, scalability, and born global attitude.
Our first premises were located in Design Factory, which is one of the innovative hot spots in the world according to Harvard Business Review (http://hbr.harvardbusiness.org/2009/03/tapping-the-worlds-innovation-hot-spots/es). Feel free to visit or contact us, we hope to meet you at our events.
