This is a monthly event on the first Monday of every month (April -November) from 7:00p -9:00p.
Everyone is welcome to participate or just listen. Bring your own poems or any poetry you cherish & would like to share (any style).
Zwanzigz provides a wonderful venue with great food & beer & wine specials.
Please join us & step up to the mic!
Admission is free, but supporting Zwanzigz is MUCH appreciated.
Remember: We have the poetry slam the first half of the event. We need at least 5 slammers to hold the contest & ask they throw in $5 to help defray out of pocket expense. The sign up is limited to a maximum of 10 poets on a first come first serve basis. If you show late & / or we already have 10 slammers, you can still read in the open mic after the slam & set a goal of getting there earlier next month. No crying!!!
This is a very successful community event. Because of the number of attendees, we ask you please welcome as many folks as you can accommodate at your table. Show some love, you might make a new friend.
Winner takes home $100!
Show up early & sign up!!!

After the grace period, a penalty of 0.5 points for every 10 seconds will be deducted from the overall score.
*It is acceptable for a poet to incorporate, imitate or otherwise "signify on" the words, lyrics or tune of someone else (commonly called "sampling") in his performance.
*A poem may be used only once during an evening.
*Scoring will be "Olympic-style" on a scale from 0-10.
*Performers shall compete in three rounds, with the average high score determining the winner.
*Judges will be selected from the audience. All efforts shall be made to select 3 judges who will be fair.
