The Menai Poets are a group of four women writers who met while living in North Wales and who continue to write and work together. The four poets, Marianne Jones, Tan Morgan, Nessa O’Mahony and Lorna Sherry, came together to workshop their poetry in a small café in Menai Bridge, Anglesey from 2003 to 2006. Both Lorna and Nessa returned to their homes in Scotland and Ireland respectively in the summer of 2006, but the four have continued to collaborate, using email to conduct virtual workshops and to work together to produce poems on their individual experiences as women writers.
We’d like to see if we could initiate and sustain an ongoing conversation about writing, with separate threads for a variety of themes, a workshop to post work in progress and get feedback, and a place to talk about ideas and issues to do with writing poetry.
Everyone is welcome. So why not join us?
