News:
Dear Ride2FGCU user:

As our program has evolved, we've gained a better understanding of how individuals use Ride2FGCU ride matching. As a result, we've updated the program and we're notifying users that the Ride2FGCU Terms and Conditions, as well as the Privacy Statement have been extended to include Commuter Services, a FREE program by the Florida Department of Transportation, Emergency Ride Home (ERH) providers for Florida Gulf Coast University.

If you commute to school by carpooling, vanpooling, taking transit/bus, biking or walking you may be eligible for the Emergency Ride Home program. Commuter Services will reimburse up to four (4) rides per year via taxi or rental car; they'll even reimburse mileage for a friend who drives you home. The program can only be used for personal and family emergencies. It is not intended for rides to FGCU for class or work, to scheduled appointments or for intentionally missing your ride. As this service is designed to accommodate regular daily commuting, it also does not cover the one-time trip feature.

In order for you to become eligible to use the Emergency Ride Home program, your information must be registered in the Commuter Services database. All new RIDE2FGCU registrants are automatically registered with Commuter Services.

All existing RIDE2FGCU participants will be added into the Commuter Services database on November 2, 2009.

Happy Ridesharing!
