Chorlton Film Institute is a version of a Guerrilla Cinema group aimed at making art house film accessible in and around Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester.
It has no membership criteria - just turn up and pay on the night. This is not a profit-making venture.
We are aiming simply to cover the cost of the film hire (via Film Distributors FILMBANK),the hire of the Audio Visual equipment (from Chorlton-based company Holosphere),the rental of the Church & the cost of flyer design & printing (generously subsidized by Holden and Friends ukprint.com)
All screenings are held at St Clements Church, on the corner of St Clements Rd & High Lane starting at 8.30pm. Entrance is £5 and there's tea, coffee, wine and lots of chocolate biscuits before the curtain's raised (for a very reasonable and optional donation!)
If you enter the postcode into www.mulitmap.com, you'll see exactly where we are.
