Leading Together 2010: 6th Annual Canadian HIV AIDS Skills Building Symposium
Leading Together 2010 requires the support of the local community by the recruitment of 130 volunteers! March 2010 marks the sixth annual Canadian HIV AIDS Skills Building Symposium sponsored by the Canadian AIDS Society March 4-10, 2010. The national skills building offers training and networking opportunities for Canadians working in the HIV/AIDS field. Delegates vary from people living with HIV/AIDS, health care profes-sionals, community workers, educators, psychiatrists, physicians, researchers and public policy makers. Attracting over 800 participants, the Symposium is the largest conference of its kind in Canada. We are looking for volunteers to fill various roles including: Bag Assembly, PLWHIV/AIDS Wellness Room Coordinators, Self-Care Centre Support Assistants, Workshops Note-takers, Technical Gofers,Coatroom Attendants, Runners etc. The best part is that in exchange for a 4 hr. volunteer shift,ACCM in collaboration with the Canadian AIDS Society, will offer free registration to any conference you wish to attend (space available)
