"20 Years in the Making" (1 hour mix)

This is a mix I entered for a recent Traxsource.com Global DJ Search competition where I was shortlisted down from thousands of entries across the globe as one of ten finalists to compete in a winner take all "mix off" final. I believe I was the only person from England that made the final. As one of the ten chosen finalists I was requested to submit a final "mix off" entry and this is the subsequent mix I entered. I should just mention that the mix that initially got me shortlisted for the final in the first instance was "The Hand of Midas" (which is a must hear mix!) which you can access further down this page.
The eventual winner of the competition was a guy called Bobby Mash from Amsterdam, see full details here: http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=page&page_id=179.
Whilst it would have been superb to have won the competition outright (as there was some superb prizes for the winner) I was nonetheless still chuffed to have made the final as it was some achievement to be shortlisted down as of ten finalists when they had so many thousands of entries from around the world.

This is HOT!!
I did the original take of this mix at 124bpm (which is more my cup of tea - maybe I'm getting a tad old, ha ha!!), but realise this style of music is usually played a tad faster, think of a Francois K peak-time set which he likes to bang out at around 130bpm. I recorded the mix out at 124bpm, and then played it through the CDJ speeded up to 127bpm and burnt it out again just for you speed freaks, he he!! :)
