Just Like Candy is an independent bi-annual zine that speaks MUSIC, FASHION and ART. It's a mish mash of ideas from the superficial and frivolous to the thought provoking and meaningful.
Each issue of Just Like Candy follows a theme. Issue two is all about Excess! Think the opulence and the decadence, the kitsch and the overbearing, the waste and the greed. It's about the good, the bad and the ugly of Excess!
Issue two was launched at the MCA Zine Fair on 24th May 2009! Thanks to everyone who came and said hi and picked up a copy!
Issue two: Excess features interview with Sydney band Tennis, Daniel To's A-Z of fashion, landfill fashion feature, street art, musings on excess in our own lives, op shop fashion shoot 'Binary Excess', feature by Zina Kook, Coco Grainger looks at the life and work of Divine, photography by Jie-latte. 36pp A5 colour and black and white.
