The Union City High School Band has a long standing tradition of achievement in music education. One out of every four students at Union City High School is a member of the Golden Tornado Marching Band. The Union City Band has been named a Class Champion and Finalist at Bands of America Regional Championships in Atlanta, St. Louis,Murfreesboro and Indianapolis. The band has represented Great State of Tennessee at the Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl Parades and has performed concerts at the Battleship USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
