29.06.08 A quick update to let you know that we've been shortlisted as 1 of 12 possible acts to open the main stage of the Summer Sundae 2008 Festival! For those of you who don't know of it, Summer Sundae takes place here in Leicester and has grown to become possibly the largest musical event in the region. This year's acts include Supergrass, Reverend And The Makers among others. In order to secure the all important opening slot though we need to win a vote....and we need your help!

Voting takes place via the BBC website at the link below and it only takes a couple of seconds (literally!). There is no registration to complete, just follow the link below, put a check next to 'Shortwave Fade' and click 'vote' before 11.55pm this Thurs (3rd July) when the vote closes!

21/01/08 - interviews are coing thick and fast with the band! Chris has been on Takeover Radio last week talking about the album and there's a recent interview with Shortwave fade on the slicethepie website - just follow the link below to get the latest...

In other news, Ben was interviewd by the Daily Telegraph about the band, slice the pie and the whole DIY thing, that'll be in this Saturdays' paper!

We've just moved in to our new rehersal space, we'd outgrown our old place and are getting some new ideas going, it's starting to sound very epic in here!


07/01/08 - well happy new year folks! hope you had a great xmas and new year - hope you've not got the bug that's hit me like a feather in a hurricane!

Anyway. 2007 closed with a last minute show in London which was loads of fun, apart from our sequencer dying mid-set! we recovered though (phew!) thanks to those who made it, and those who came to talk to us afterwards!

2008 has begun with a meeting with slicethepie.com to talk about the £15,000 we won. We'll be getting our hands on it soon and then it's off to make the album (moore news soon!)

Thanks to all of you who made 2007 so sucessfull for us, we hope to return your faith with an excellent album in 2008!

26/11/07 Thanks to those that came to see us in Notting Hill, we are burrowed away in the studio buried under wires and flashing lights putting the finishing touches to three new songs (two very poppy and one very epic!)

They're gonna make your eyes melt!

20/11/07 We're playing an afternoon gig in that, there London at RoTa @ The Notting Hill Arts Club on Saturday 24th November. This is a going to be a showcase event for several Shifty Disco bands and will definitely be woth checking out...and it's FREE admission too! (bands onstage between 4-8pm)

Finally, we'll be returning to London to play @ the Lark in the Park, Islington on the 11th December...a cosy venue and should be a lot of fun. For those of you who just can't get enough, it'll be where it's at!
