Description:
President Obama recently signed into law a $787 billion stimulus package on top of Bush's grossly mismanaged $700 billion TARP bailout from last September. Several weeks ago, the Federal Reserve basically printed an additional $1,000,000,000,000 to inject more funds into the monetary system which will undoubtedly have the effect of diminishing the purchasing power of the dollar. Since last fall, the government has paid out trillions of dollars in bailouts, handouts, loans and giveaways, with no... (read more)

Jessica Snow Coffey This would really help so many people, including my husband and me. An extra $500 a month would be so helpful.

FOR ANYONE WITH STUDENT LOANS FROM CITI!!!! AES is no longer managing your loans (you probably receieved something in the mail a month or so ago). They made the transition THIS MONTH AND DID NOT SEND OUT STATEMENTS! You will need to make payments to CITI now but they did not send out anything telling about due dates... or minimum payments or anything!

I found out the transition happened after logging into AES and seeing 5 of my loans were missing. I set up my online account (www.studentloan.com) and could not find any info on my minimum payments. I called CITI to find out what was up, and they said that they did not send out statements this month due to the transition! How exactly were we supposed to know who/when/where to pay!?

If you have loans from CITI, make sure you dont miss a payment due to their shady billing!

Citi offers a variety of student loans to help you pay for school, including federal student loans and private student loans.

Interesting. I don't get a paper statement from Ciit; just the email. I already made my payment based on the email from late October. Odd that I never received notice of any type of change.

ALERT: Please call CITI and make sure you know to whom your loans were handed. It amy not be AES. Someone told me that their loans that were previously with CITI are now with Wells Fargo.

Ricky Adelon Laprade I have four degrees and I live at home with my mom because I can't find any sort of resonable job to put my education to work. In addition, my loan bills are about 450 dollars a month. Any one know any good resources to get out of this hell hole? (the uh, debt, not my mom's place. sorry ma.)

This sounds like a great idea and will help tons of people. My loan payments are reasonable every month and if I didn't have to pay them (thankful as I would be) it would just help me pay another bill I am struggling with. Unfortunately for me it wouldn't give me extra "spending" money. Nevertheless I would like to ...see help for the middle class, those who have tried to better themselves by going to college.Read More
