- Thank you to all those who attended the Rally for Rail on April 3rd. A crowd of around 500 came to support NIPRAs efforts to bring rail back to Fort Wayne. In the words of Derrick James from Amtrak, "“If the enthusiasm here is any measure, any guide to whether we’re going to get passenger rail service back in Fort Wayne, I’m saying we’ll get it,”
It's great to see the realization of what we've long suspected -- Fort Wayne is ready for the return of passenger rail service. Now the real work has to begin. We all need to contact our state legislators and Governor Daniels to make this a priority. The links to these important people are available at the NIPRA web blog (http://nipra2rail.wordpress.com).
