The New Intensive Courses in English (NICE) program is a unit of the International Programs of Outreach College at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. NICE has served the international community since 1975. Classes are offered on a long-term (10-week) and short-term (3-week) basis throughout the year with a focus on teaching oral communication to students. Classes are held in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Starting from our ten-week April 2009 session, students will be able to choose a track that best suits their personal needs- Academic (A), Business (B), and General Communication (C) track. They will also be asked to choose a time preference (8:30 am-12:20 pm; 10:30 am to 2:20 pm; or 12:30 pm to 4:20 pm).
International Programs of Outreach College also offers English language instruction for groups and international seminars on a variety of different topics through our Custom-Designed programs unit.
We also offer EFL teacher training for English as a Foreign Language teachers during the summer.
This group is for all former and current NICE program students, teachers, interchangers, staff, administration, student assistants, and all people that are interested in learning about us.
