- The score, if you were wondering was Texas 45 v. Oklahoma 35. The game was played on October 11, and Texas defeated Oklahoma on a neutral site. For those of you in Oklahoma, or in case you are a Harris or Coaches poll voter, that means that Texas is the only team in the Big 12 South's vaunted four teams in the top 12 to have won a game against one of the other teams away from home.
But wait. Didn't OU just beat the No. 2 team in the nation, by a lot?
Yes they did. They were also at home where they have only lost two games since Bob Stoops started hating puppies and Jesus.
Wait... But they beat them by a lot, and that was the team that beat UT?
Yes. They did beat Tech. Tech did beat Texas at home in the final second. Yes, Texas did in fact, contrary to popular belief beat Oklahoma on a neutral site by double-digits.
But wasn't that a long time ago?
Lets see, OU beat the No. 2 team at home last week. Texas beat then No. 1 team on a neutral site. But I guess because it was over a week ago it doesn't matter.
With that in mind we move forward with one goal in mind. To remember the Cotton Bowl.
That is our cry. Remember, Remember, the eleventh of October. The day that Texas defeated then No. 1 Oklahoma by double-digits on a neutral field.
So we are urging you, as concerned citizens of this great land to raise your voice, to act upon your first amendment freedoms and let your voice be heard by the small few that decides who plays for the National title, or in this case the Big 12 title.
Do everything in your power to promote and spread the awareness of 45-35, because knowing is half the battle.
And the game did in fact happen so long ago, so we must remember America, because she has such a short memory.
Simple ways to raise awareness...
1. Join this group. And invite every educated soul you know to its welcoming arms.
2. Help raise awaress by creating viral marketing. Be it youtube videos, images, or signs to be displayed on your car, dorm, etc.
3. Call your local Congressman, err... Call your local Harris Poll voter, and or college football coach and remind him of the facts.
4. Do everything in your power to ensure every fan that attends Thursday's game against Texas A&M is provided with a large, legible sign that promotes the literacy of 45-35.
KVET will be providing at least 10,000 signs (we should encourage them to sponsor more) and every issue of Wednesday's Daily Texan will feature a center spread that will feature 45-35. We need your help to first make sure these signs make it to the game on Thursday. The papers will go out Wednesday, we need all of the papers to make it to the stadium on Thursday so each person walking into DKR can have a huge sign boldly reminded the world that Texas beat OU.
Further, we need to help get more signs out there, if we can get more sponsors, or simply making our own. If nearly 100,000 fans all have a 45-35 sign, it will be impossible to forget.
Along with that make your own personal efforts to go beyond the simple signs. If you have a UT flag, get the score put onto the flag. It would be awesome to see a lot of the "Come and Take It--No. 2, 45-35" flags Thursday night. Other huge banners and signs that featured 45-35 would help the cause, especially if they played into ways to earn camera time (ESPN references, creativity, etc).
5. Travel to Stillwater, Okla. and personally remind ESPN CollegeGameDay and ABC Saturday Night Football that in fact Texas did beat Oklahoma.
The power is yours my friends. Lets see what you can do.
You have already amazed me in this first day. But we must continue our fight. Our voice will be heard. And we shall prevail, because we have the truth on our side.
Never forget 45-35 and Hook 'Em

URGENT--FINAL UPDATE BEFORE GAME
Come to the game, bring your sign, bring other signs. There are rumors that security is banning all signage, if that is the case, hide your sign and still bring it in. We MUST get the word out.
--Thanks again. Hook 'Em.
If you can read this, we need your help.
We need every single issue of the Daily Texan picked up. There are boxes on every major bus line that feeds into campus. Red River, Duval, Guadalupe, Far West, Lake Austin, Enfield, Riverside. We need all of these boxes cleared out and we need you to bring the papers to the stadium area. We will be staging the drop off zone in the tailgating area behind the aquatic center on Robert Dedman.
We need your help. We need you now. We need every sign at the stadium so they can all be on National TV. Thanks guys.
What we need from you right now?
We need everyone to help gather up every issue of today's Daily Texan. They are all over the campus area and on the campus shuttle lines at the bus stops. We need these picked up. We need every single issue to be gathered and brought to the stadium tomorrow so we can distribute them to those fans that are heading into the game.
Also, make your own signs, flags, etc. There is a great idea for a "come and take it" flag that is posted in the pictures, things like this will be awesome. Remember, big and bold, 45-35. ESPN accronyms, creativity, etc will probably be rewarded with more screen time. But we want everyone to have a sign so lets keep up the good work.
If you do raid a Texan box we need you to take every last issue, even the display issue, this will also let us know that this box has been cleared.
If we keep up the work, we will all be surprised at the results.

UPDATE Midnight Wednesday
First, check out today's Statesman, or the statesman main page. We are everywhere.
http://www.statesman.com/
We are heading down the home stretch. It is now or never... I am trying to find more cliches to throw in.
Needless to say we are running out of time before the game, so lets get it done. Everyone needs to gather the copies of Today's Daily Texan and bring them to the stadium. The full page ad is inside the Sports section. Bring it, bring more, give to everyone in your section. Bring extras you can find to the stadium. We will be gathering them and handing them out tomorrow. Give me a call or send me a message or an email if you have helped gather or want to, and want to help distribute.
Keep making the big flags and banners, and the creative signs with the ESPN acronyms. This is awesome. You guys are awesome, I am sorry I am getting all the attention, I wish they would profile you guys, because this group would be nothing with out you.
Saying that, we must all come through today. We must show up, we must wear orange, we must be insanely loud and crazy. And we must constantly remind the world that Texas beat Oklahoma 45-35.
We have almost 4 hours of free advertisement. It would be stupid for us to waste it.
We can make a difference. We have made a difference. Tonight, we will make a difference.
--Keep it up and Hook 'Em,
UPDATE Midnight Tuesday
The Daily Texan is running a full page AD featuring 45-35 in Wednesday's paper.
They have come through. So we need to thank them. So email the editors just as you did before and thank them, and also go out and pick up every paper you can. We need them all to make their way to the stadium on Thursday so we can hand them out at the entrances. Meaning we need each and every copy from each and every Daily Texan box to be collected if you are coming to the game.
Do not let anyone throw a copy of Wednesday's paper away, save them all, we need them all. If you are willing to help in the collection, organization, movement and distribution of the papers, please send me a message.
Others have raised money for 20,000 more signs, they will be distributed on Thursday on Robert Dedman drive in the tailgate area behind the Aquatic Center. We need to get these signs out, and more to continue and remind voters of 45-35.
--Thanks again, keep up the hard work, and Hook 'Em
UPDATE 4 p.m. Tuesday
Since I can't send you all a message anymore. I will try to do it this way.
The question is what is the next step. And we need everyone's help.
We have to make sure the signs come through. So we need to get in contact with other sponsors, since KVET backed out to get some more signs printed.
Second. We have the opportunity to get t-shirts, because apparently Belmont doesn't like the sign idea and may be trying to confiscate them.
So, I need to know if we want t-shirts, if we can get sponsors for t-shirts, if anyone has a connection to get them printed fast and cheap in Austin, and how many we would want, etc.
They definitely can't take up a t-shirt. But I don't know how I feel about them, initially I wanted to stay away from commercializing this, where no one would make any money off of it. But I don't know.
This is up to you guys.
We can do this. But I need your help.
Please let me know.
Any other awesome ideas would be appreciated.
If you are a Silver Spur, Cowboy, on Cheer or Pom, a Wrangler, the Band, or any other spirit organization I would love to hear from you, or get some contacts with people in your groups. We need to work together to get this done.
UPDATE 2 p.m. Tuesday
Apparently we are so big now I can't send you all a message. So we will need to be working extra hard to check here and organize.
We are nearing in on 10,000 members. We will get there if you keep working hard. We need everyone to keep inviting more people to the cause. This world is full of logical people, we just need to find them.
If you need more proof that this movement is making waves, they can hear us all the way up in Fort Worth. No word yet if Bristol, Conn. has got the message.
But soon they will.
http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/story/1058589.html
Y'all are amazing, and you keep doing amazing things. If we all step it up who knows how big this will get.
UPDATE 2 a.m. Tuesday
In the 24 hours since this group was founded we have now seen our movement to educate and inform America swell to over 4,000 members.
It is amazing what we have done so far, but we still must continue to work. We must continue to further our message. So continue spreading the truth, inviting your friends (and not so friends, that happen to be on your facebook friend list) and thinking creatively about what we can do to help increase the awareness of 45-35.
Keep up the good work.

UPDATE 5p.m. Monday...
I just got off the phone with the Texan's Sports Editor, and the Texan will be running a full page center spread AD with 45-35.
But our work is not done. We need to make sure all these get to the people in the stadium and continue to work to make sure these get on TV. We have a four hour, free, prime time, national commercial on on a holiday and we need to use that wisely.
Keep up the good work. We shall be heard.

Breaking News, 4 p.m. Monday ...
The Statesman has already noticed our growing movement.
http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/longhorns/entries/2008/11/24/facebook_moveme.html
If we keep it up the national media will be unable to ignore us.
If we speak loud enough, in large enough numbers there is no way we will be ignored. People are starving to have their voice heard, this years election showed that. Let us keep our voices raised and make sure that every single person that votes in both the coaches and Harris polls knows that Texas has already defeated Oklahoma, by double-digits, on a neutral site.
So keep the momentum going. Keep inviting all of your friends. Keep calling the Stateman and the Texan, and keep making plans to make sure every shot of Thursday's game reminds the national audience that Texas beat OU 45-35.
