An overland traverse (tractor train) packed with fuel for the twin otters is heading from McMurdo to South Pole to AGAP S (the US research camp). Large cravasses (opened slots in the ice) are slowing progress. The project will need the fuel for the planes to run the airborne survey of the site. Time will be critical. The team can only operate for 28 days out of the camp...will the fuel be there in time for this?
