- We all witness what’s been going on in our country since we gained Independence. We have witnessed military men rule us to doom, then changed their clothes to look like civilians and continued where they stopped. We have seen greedy politicians push our money overseas, buy houses here and there and kill innocent people just to protect their selfish interests.
Should we fold our hands and keep hoping that things will be better one day when our politicians made it clear in one way or the other, that all they care about is money?
The greatest threat facing our generation is inability to confront our leaders. What they do is that after they finish their tenure according to the constitution they engineered by themselves, they hand over power to whoever they chose to continue their evil against humanity.
This is not a political party of any sort but a social movement.
A social movement that seeks to bring about change in all strata of Nigeria which people are willing to contribute in. We invite and encourage all who want to contribute in whichever sector they are willing to contribute in.
I know that what we are attempting to do sound absurd but ALBERT EINSTEIN once said “If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it”
The question is: HOW DO WE BRING POSITIVE CHANGES TO OUR NATION?
Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze us, they're supposed to help us discover who we are and what we can do or become. We accept the verdict of the past until the need for change cries out loudly enough to force upon us a choice between the comforts of further inertia and the irksomeness of action.
At 49, Nigeria cannot boast of 24hours of constant power supply for the past 48 years? Should we celebrate that our children are not going to school as a result of poverty, and those who managed to go and graduated are roaming around with no reasonable jobs to do? Are we happy that despite the nation’s abundant wealth, more people are dying from road accidents as a result of bad roads than other causes, and over 70% of the population is living below poverty lines? Are we going to be cerebrating that at 49, professionalism, efficiency, competency, proven track records, integrity etc, are always sacrificed on the altar of favouritism and sectional interest in appointments and placements in Nigeria?
We want the public servant to be able to serve us with heart and might as in the Nigerian anthem. We want justice for the mild who are suffering the consequence of inadequate distribution of wealth. We want our schools upgraded. We want security. Good roads. Good transport system. Not too much to ask for is it?
We welcome all who want to make an impact and we ask that all feel free for this is not about any one person but about the change we desire for Nigeria, this is not about any one person but about a people’s movement.
