Description:: In Canada we are getting the message out to National Student representatives. It would be a VERY good idea for you all in your respective countries to get similar organizations on board and issuing statements.

PLEASE ADD THIS EVENT, and invite all of your friends/networks (cities and locations will be posted shortly, but WORLDWIDE demonstrations will take place at 12pm):
"A Day of International Action for a Free Burma (Oct. 6th) Worldwide"

On September 18th, 2007 Burmese civil society began demonstrating against the military regime. Since that day, hundreds of monks have continued to bravely march in protest. And it continues.

This group has the aim of raising worldwide support, and facilitating the networking of concerned global citizens and activists.

It is this group's hope that protest networks will organize, engaging government representatives, state leaders and communities worldwide, so that the world will NOT OVERLOOK this situation of political mobilization.

So share information, ideas, and activities with one another, and stand up against repression. Stand up together. (read less)
