Over the past several years the Virginia Tech athletics department has recieved a handful of letters of complaint regarding the Stick It In cheer. The cheer is regarding as disrespectful and innapropriate by some members of the fan base. Therefore the decision has been reached to do away with the cheer entirely. Essentially the Marching Virginians will no longer be allowed to start the cheer when our team is in the end zone. Right now, if nothing is done, the cheer will disapper. This is your chance to unite the student body in support of one of Tech Football's best traditions. If enough support is shown by the student body, the administration will be forced to rethink their decision. We need to act now or risk becoming the kind Zima drinking cookie dough eating fans the UVa has become associated with. (read less)
