On the 22nd of September I am entering into the Great Gorilla Run, a 7km run around London dressed as the greatest of the Great Apes. The run is on behalf of The gorilla Foundation which works to protect this endangered species.

I was getting some stick for running this from my mates who reckon it will be easy - I don't think it will considering that I will be wearing a very hot gorilla suit that is difficult to breathe in!

After several beers I agreed to make it a bit tougher by carrying 1 banana for every 100 people that joined a Facebook group. Well I am sitting here creating the group so it looks like I am going through with the idea!

I hope not to have to carry more than 40 bananas - they tend to get heavy when you have a lot of them!!
