The problem solving group is intended to supplement the problem solving class offered each fall semester.
The ideal member is a seasoned problem solver: you've earned a positive score on the Putnam Exam, have taken the problem solving class and want to further hone your skills on challenging problems, or you've excelled on math competitions in high school.
The group is now open. We invite you to join if you fit the above description.
Our main goal is to work together to solve the proposed problems from Mathematics Magazines and send in our solutions. They publish the most clever solutions and credit all correct solutions.
Meetings: Most Sunday evenings, 6-8pm in the Albee third floor lounge. We start and end on time.
