After 10 wonderful years of sharing travel stories, secrets and tips with our readers, Travel Times team now wants to get to know our readers better and be their FRIENDS.

Friends of Travel Times is a place for everybody to share holiday tips, recommend good destinations, makan places and even interesting travel gadgets. Not only that, Friends of Travel Times will be our stage to organise or announce our upcoming events and activities. Eventually Friends of Travel Times will be THE destination for everybody – before or after his or her actual holiday.

Best of all, you – Friends of Travel Times – now stand a chance to see your idea, tips or experience develops into a travel story which will be published in Travel Times.


FAST FACTS
Travel Times first hit the newstand in October 1999, at a time when Cuti-cuti Malaysia (domestic holiday campaign) was at its height. The pull-out for New Straits Times, one of the country’s main English dailies, was the country’s only travel newspaper dedicated to domestic tourism.

Due to strong demands on international travel stories from advertisers and readers, Travel Times started to open up with occasional advertorials on international holiday destinations. Only in mid 2008, Travel Times started to feature interesting editorials on international destinations either by its Staff writers or contributors.

Travel Times’ regular columns include Short Break, Gourmet Trail, Shopping Trail, Travel Savvy, Hotel Watch and Destination. It also features special irresistible deals from hotels and tour companies in the Special Deals and Travel Mart columns.
