About Dover & Deal
Dover & Deal is a great place to live. Yet our community does not get its fair share thanks to the Labour Government.
Local healthcare is a shambles with the excellent Buckland Hospital ruined. Labour plan to give us a polyclinic - while the Conservatives are pledged to provide a proper hospital with care beds and GP led emergency services.
Locally one person in four is jobless – the highest ever level. Real wages have fallen £1,000 in five years. That was before Labour's economic mismanagement engulfed us all in a terrible financial crisis. Dover has not had its fair share of investment - e.g. the A2 dualling was axed. We deserve better.
Taxes have doubled, there are too few jobs, too little money. Violent crime has doubled to over 1 million offences a year, while police are not given the support they need. Now Labour has closed many local Post Offices, with more expected in the pipeline.
With the right team in place changes can happen. Charlie and the team are working to make a positive difference. There is plenty of room for improvement. Charlie is putting forward a positive healthcare plan, is making the case for zero tolerance beat policing and working hard to strengthen our local economy.
