- REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION
1. The original and one photocopy of your birth certificate.
2. Accompanying affidafit and copy (if your name is not on your birth certificate.)
3. Marriage certificate and copy (if applicable).
4. Registered deed poll (if your name has been changed other than by marriage).
Minimum age for registration --15 years
Minimum age to qualify as a voter--18 years
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY AS A VOTER
A. Citizens of T&T -
2 months residence in the constituency by the
qualifying date
** NOTE to university students...
If you have returned home and you wish to register to vote you may be required to prove that you have been residing in the country two months prior to the qualifying date. This means that you may be required to show your passport, as well as provide copies of the stamp of entry in your passport and of the page with your passport picture.
