“Round One in the Books and Mark Martin sets the Tone”
Episode Description: Before an announced crowd of 101,000 fans, Mark Martin set the tone for the onset of the “Sprint Cup Chase for the Championship” by winning the “Sylvania 300” in very convincing fashion. It was his 5th win of the season. Denny Hamlin continued his hot streak coming home second and Juan Montoya, who led over a third of the race, came home with a strong third place finish. Martin leads the point standings after round one and others like Greg Biffle, Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards find themselves off to a rough start now mired in 9th, 10th and 11th places. We’ll take a look at the New Hampshire race and get the post race thoughts of the Chase contenders. We’ll look at the New Hampshire CampingWorld Truck Series event, as well, as teammates Ron Hornaday and Kevin Harvick fell short of chasing down race winner, Kyle Busch.
