Homecoming Weekend - Oct. 16-18

“Little Scotties” Children’s Area during MC Homecoming

Maryville College Homecoming is Oct. 16-18, and we are planning a “Little Scotties” Children’s Area from 10 am – 1 pm on Saturday, Oct. 17 in the backyard of the CCM.

There will be tons of activities for your kids like a giant slide, face painting, balloon animals made by a clown, hair painting, Scottie dog tattoos, Highland Games, Story Time, and a craft area for our Little Scotties to make their own kilt!

We are also encouraging all our “Little Scotties” to walk in the parade wearing their kilts at 1 pm.

We are asking alumni to help with this new event. We are looking for volunteers to help staff the area from 10 am – 1 pm. We are also asking for donations of washable markers, safety scissors, pool noodles, duct tape, candy, spray glue, and chalk. If you would like to volunteer or donate any of these items, please email katherine.caputo@maryvillecollege.edu.

Watch your mailbox for the “Home to Howee” Homecoming brochure with many new events including Saturday Open Houses, an Alumni Reception on Saturday evening, and bluegrass music with Jay Clark ’96 on Saturday night in the Alumni Gym.
