Also, we are in need of a Korean translator. If anyone is up to the task of helping with that, it would be a lot of help.

The first class was great. I love all the energy in the room. gamepro.com should have the lecture posted on-line for everyone to enjoy. I was actually minorly concerned about crowd control.

Thanks for all the interest from around the globe; your questions will be answered soon.
As far as auditing is concerned, you are free to audit the course. There are 120 seats in the lecture hall, and unofficially, we can fill all of them. Officially, we are limited to 60 seats, so when we actually get there we can make the decision how to go on.
For those of you at home, not in Berkeley, or unable to take the class for one reason or another I will be webcasting the lectures if possible. So, don't feel left out. You can do the homework and listen to lecture in the comfort and serenity of your own desk.
Finally, about the text, I will not be publishing it on-line because of the possible mistakes in it. However, it can be available for people who request, mistakes and all, for a printing fee plus shipping.
Finally, I would like to say, what an honor it is for all of you to join us on this adventure, a new era in gaming where gaming and gamers are taken as seriously and rigorously as anyone else.
See you all Thursday.

Enormous thanks to our webmaster, c0de. He has made a website for us, where you can find lecture videos, schedule, and ultimately, your homework too. You can visit the site here:
www.berkeleystarcraft.com
From now until February 20th, I shall post updates on both facebook and the website. After the 21st of February I'll cease posting on facebook and move entirely to the website.

I got the course control numbers, but it's kinda complicated, so I think we'll just deal with it the first day of class. In addition to CCN's, you all need personal CEC's, and I have to go request those if we go over 10 freshmen and sophomores.
Due to the huge influx of people asking for readers, here's how to get one:
1. Come to my house when I'm home. (If you want to go that route, I expect you to know where I live already. I'm not giving out my address on-line.)
2. Get them at 7pm on Jan 22 in C230 Haas. That is the first Thursday, but not the first day of class. I'll be there for the whole time, though. Come meet me, or play a game or something
3. Get them on the first day of class. 7-9 pm Jan 29 C230 Haas

Since this is the first time this class has been taught, the materials are still a little rough.
Thus, I have decided to purchase your Readers for you. Just e-mail me for your copy, free of charge. This offer only applies to people who are actually in the class. Sorry, Piedmont High.
In return, if the people who receive Readers can review them and submit changes and points that need clarification, that would be great.
Also, I wouldn't object to people kicking in a few bucks towards the Readers themselves. However, due to the constraints of a DeCal, I cannot officially ask for them ... so I won't.
The day and time remain
Thursdays from 7-9pm
C230 Cheit Haas School of Business
Discussion/Lab/Office Hours:
1st Floor of Moffit Library
Saturday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
I shall be giving out CCN's on the first day of class.
I do not yet have a website for it yet; for the meantime, I shall be coordinating events through email and facebook.
The first class will be on the 29th of January. I will of course be in C230 on Jan 22nd from 7-9pm if anyone wants to meet me or talk to me.
If anyone has any friends who enjoy Starcraft, I would most welcome their presence.
I would like to add that this class is dedicated to Yosh, Lore, Phillip, Gheiiiiiii, Restitute, and everyone who ever taught me or inspired me to be better than I am. I owe you all for your love and patience.
