Description:
We are a group of 15 from Gerrard Street heading out to Worcester, South Africa, this summer from June 18th to July 8th.
We will be working with the People's Church in Worcester, doing a variety of projects including building a house and running kid's clubs for kids within the church and outside it.
Before we go though we need to raise the money to get us there and to fund the projects we are running - for information of how you can help out, check out our upcoming fundraising events...

*Update - the Gerrard Street South Africa Team Blog site is up and running at: http://gerrardstreet.wordpress.com/

Less than a week til we go, all of our planned fundraising is now done, now just have to pack, dig out our passports - and turn up at the airport on time!

Ceilidh at the Tunnels went really well, everyone had a great time (at least, as far as they've told us...!) and we raised a good amount of money for the trip - especially due to the game and slave auction at the break!

Swish Party - was a success, everyone got something new (to them) to take home, and got rid of some clothes they didn't need any more! Also raised a good bit for the trip - a massive THANK YOU to those who organised it

The 10k also went really well - as well as being an excellent fundraiser, we all enjoyed the run (with hindsight!) - and got a tshirt to wear with pride :)

The church lunch was a good opportunity for the team to give the church more information about our trip, and for us to share in fellowship together. Thanks from us to everyone who helped with the lunch :)

Bag packing went really well, everyone worked really hard and we made a good contribution to fundraising for our trip!
