- A new coalition has been launched to defeat Illinois House Bill 2354, the so-called “Reproductive Health and Access Act,” better known as “Illinois FOCA” to those who recognize that this bill has nothing to do with reproductive health and everything to do with dramatically expanding abortion in Illinois.

My name is Beth and I am contacting you in response to the Conscience in Health Care Act. In a Government that now states that it wants equal rights for everyone, it makes me question how this can be? If Health Care pr...ofessionals such as Doctors and pharmacists are going to have their rights to say no revoked? I believe that these professionals should maintain their rights to be able to say no with out retribution! If we take away their right where does this end?
I am not by any means for abortion, and happen to be against. I am also against my tax dollars going to pay for this. But despite my beliefs on that issue. I believe this also, That giving people that right to have an abortion, should never take the away the rights of other to say they will not be part of these choices!!

People who argue for this type of Legislation always seem to pull THE RAPE CARD, faster than Jackson or Sharpton pull the race card, (when it suits them) But Rape victims are appx 1/0th of a % of the abortions performed POOR ARGUMENT, I do agree wth some of what you say also, regarding certain situations, & an individu...als choice.. But I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! Nor should a Doctor be virtually STRONGARMED into performing procedures against his morals.. Not to mention the fact that a 14 year old cant take an asprin in school without parental permission yet these knobs feel that the parents of a 13 year old girl dont need to be notified.. Gimme a break..

hey steve, morals ares based on ideology, ideology is based on religion lets keep religion out of this and let the people whose lives are directly affected by this have the right to choose.it is not for me or you to tell people what they should do in their time of decision making.it is not an easy decision to make and ...we dont know what the sistuation or problems of the people involved are.what about women who were raped should they be haunted daily by having to raise a child of a rapist? i don't think so.once again all situations and circumstances are different and people should have the right to decide whats best for themselves.
