The other day we got an email that was a great wake-up call. In the midst of getting so much done with so many of you (6,600 on Facebook so far!) towards reviving the Parkway, we got an email from a new volunteer. She was eager to get involved and help out, but said she admitted didn't really know what was going on.
The whole goal of this project is to enable and empower you to save the Parkway and make Oakland a better place. We've been making fantastic strides - organizing volunteer groups, designing t-shirts, meeting with the city and other important folks. But we haven't done a good enough job keeping you informed about our progress, which is just as important.
That's why we'd like to urge you all to go sign up for the mailing list at http://www.iliketheparkway.com. It's key for this project to keep moving forward that we're able to contact you - both to fill you in and get your support when action needs to be taken. We cannot message the whole Facebook group because of technical limitations, so it's important that we get you ALL over to the mailing list.
Please join the mailing list on http://www.iliketheparkway.com so you can help make your community a better place! The site contains Frequently Asked Questions, volunteer opportunities, and the latest from the iliketheparkway team.
