The student Land Lab is in the beginning weeks of our first Community Supported Agriculture session of 2009! We’re so excited to bring you the best of the Land Lab’s fresh produce. About half of our items are coming from the over-wintered block of the farm. These crops were sown in August/September of last year and have been braving the cold so we can enjoy them as our spring plantings are sown and mature. Our other source of fresh goodness is our unheated hoop house. We have salad, green onions, turnips, braising greens, radishes and head lettuce that have started putting on exponential growth in recent weeks as the sun’s rays strengthen and warm the air and soil. It won’t be long before we’re snacking on shell peas, asparagus, strawberries, beets and so much more…

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn about Sustainable Agriculture by growing food for the Community that supports us.
