The National Trust is a UK charity commited to preserving and protecting over 300 historic houses and gardens and 49 industrial monuments and mills - that are all open to the public.
But it doesn’t stop there. We also look after 30% of the British coastline, forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, downs, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves, villages - for ever, for everyone.
We are a charity and therefore completely independent from Government. We rely on support, volunteers, membership fees, donations, legacies, and revenue raised from our commercial operations.
So if you have ever enjoyed a day out at a National Trust historic house, taken a scenic tour through one of our protected coves, or had the chance to picnic in one of our many landscaped gardens or had the opportunity to savour a walk in one of our woodlands... then show your support.
This is a homepage for our supporters, volunteers and staff... for everyone!
