The Ohio Objectivist Society is a group of intellectuals, teachers, and business professionals from Ohio who believe most obstacles to individual happiness and prosperity in a society stem from human irrationality. We believe the way to counter irrationality is through an integrated understanding of reality, knowledge, ethics, and politics - which is the achievement of Ayn Rand via her philosophy of Objectivism. The OOS both teaches how to learn and apply Objectivism and acts as an organized resource for any individual inspired to learn more.

Our mission is to inspire culture to recognize and accept with uncompromising certainty that existence exists independently of personal whim, that reason is man’s only means of acquiring knowledge, that man's life is his only standard of good, and that laissez-faire capitalism is the only ethical political system, by teaching Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism.
