Okay, I have heard from lots of people who feel that sending the Pope lots of condoms is probably a wast of a perfectly good rubber - so instead of sending him a condom send him a note telling him how you feel and send your condom, or a little bit of money to your favorite AIDS awareness, family planning, or health care programme in Africa or anywhere else in the world where you feel it will do the most good.

I will be sending a few dollars to www.avert.org with a note explaining that I was inspired by Mr. Benedict to support some of the good work Avert is doing in AIDS prevention (disseminating condoms as part of a global strategy), education and treatment. While I am at it, I am also going to donate to my local Planned Parenthood organization, in the name of his Holiness, just cause I think they do good work
