Kathaluwa is a small village in the southern part of Sri Lanka badly affected by the tsunami 3 years ago.

This facebook group was created by me in Sept 2007 to help raise awareness and money for the children and families of the region.

A few months later I got to know Jim Luce, the founder of Orphans International Worldwide who was trying to develop an orphanage in the country for the past year but due to government restrictions was delayed.

So, OIWW joined forces with a local family and this facebook group and ever since the project is called KATHALUWA GROUP, helping more than 300 children with english language learning and other tutorial and social efforts.

In August 2008 and after the success in Sri Lanka, Jim Luce asked me to become president of Orphans International Greece. (visit facebook group: OI Greece,

OI Greece will try to establish itself as an NGO during 1st quarter of 2009 in Athens and will operate under the strict guidance & principles of Orphans InternationaL Worldwide.
