This gig is a coop with Wreckin' Pit!
You might've seen OK Pilot when they played the Arc with Bridge and Tunnel - if you did, you know why we're bringing them back! These Exeter punks are rated by the No Idea guys so much that they've asked them to play the Fest again. Nods to Glass and Ashes, Young Livers and all that... good stuff. They have a handful of splits and demos available which are all excellent, but nothing compared to their live performance.
The Emos are from Bolton and are sloppy and fast and loud and unpretentious. Fun times no-frills punk rock!
Citizens are a bunch of chaps who like hardcore, but don't actually play it. Well, they sort of do, but they filter it through so many other influences that it comes out sounding quite unexpected and infinitely more complex. Come see for yourself.
Holy Mountain are the other Glasgow boys on the line up. Massive, crushing, sweaty riffs. Riff monsters, in fact ((c) Winning Sperm Party). There's only two of them, but you'll not hear a more gigantic noise this year.
(Holy State have pulled out of the tour, and now United Fruit have too. Sorry!)Read More

North Lincoln are from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They've put out records on the likes of No Idea, Art of the Underground and Yo Yo. They do the whole gruff thing you'd expect from bands on those labels and they get compared to Samiam a lot, but they do more than just that; their newest full length, Midwestern Blood, is s...o honest and so visceral and so smart that it quite takes your breath away. How will it translate live? Brilliantly, I wager.
Year at Sea are ex-members of more stalwart Scottish DIY bands than I can remember: Fall of Boss Koala, Archives, Santo Caserio, Forgotten Shipbuilders... They do emo-tinged indie rock in a most endearing way. This'll be their first time as YAS in Glasgow.
Shields Up, from Edinburgh, have got an amazing amount under their belt for a band that only formed in March this year. They've played all over the place, Vic Galloway's taken a huge shine to them and their album will be out by the time this gig rolls around. Straight up old school hardcore as satisfying as it comes.
JUST ADDED! Holy Mountain will now be playing their second set of the evening for us. Expecting crushing riffage and frantic drummage.
Five notes, please.Read More
