- 6 Sep: 64.14% first preference, 74.38% TCP. We've won in a landslide!
Thanks to the volunteers (all 700 of us, apparently) - now to get used to having real representation!
The final count after postal and pre-poll may be a bit lower, but Oakeshott's secured it.

15 Aug: The nominations have been declared! Oakeshott's at position 5 on the ballot paper, which is higher than Susie Russell and Rob Drew. The campaign's really getting into full swing now :D
13 Aug: Nominations officially close tomorrow at noon, and the Returning Officer will declare the nominations on Friday. It'll be interesting to see who else is running.
The Port Macquarie state by-election will also be interesting to watch. I expect the Speaker, Richard Torbay, will call the by-election sometime during the Lyne campaign.
8 Aug: He's decided to run!
I've done a bit of calculating, and if he retains the same level of support in Port Macquarie that he got at the state election last year, it won't be too difficult to win. :D
