PLANNING FOR 2010 --

In addition to the congressional and state legislative seats, all statewide offices are on the ballot in 2010. This happens only every four years.

The year's significance is even more pronounced by a once per decade event -- the census. This makes the legislative races incredibly important. In the hands of the state legislative's majority party are the political maps for the next decade! Texas is sure to pick up at least three seats in the U.S. House. Let's make sure we are the ones drawing the lines!

With all that is at stake in 2010, we must build our infrastructure, recruit great candidates and continue to bring together the GLBT community with the Democratic Party.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS --
(Club founded in January 2008)

In 2008, we raised more than $6,000 for the Harris County Coordinated Campaign. These funds helped elect Harris County Democrats for the first time in more than a decade.
We also represented our community at all levels of the Democratic Party. Four of our members were elected as delegates to the Democratic National Convention. Dozens served as delegates at the State Convention. Many serve as precinct chairs and officers at the state senate or statewide level.

Our work has just begun!
