- News:
- Randa Jawhari, who has gone missing since Tuesday evening (Feb. 10, 2009), approx. 11:30 pm.
Randa (pronounced Ron-da) has bipolar but has been on her meds and stable. Her mother was with her Tuesday night and laid out her clothing for the next day. But the last time anyone saw her was that night around 11:30 pm on W. Shiawassee in Fenton (she lived in an apartment complex on this road). She was wearing a blue bathrobe...(believed, as the robe was no where to be found in the apartment and she hadn't put on any of the clothes that had been laid out). Randa could also be wearing a brown jacket with white wool sleeves and a collar.
She's 5'1", approx. 100 pounds with dark brown hair, dark brown eyes. She's beautiful. She is a smoker (and all of her cigarettes were left behind at the apartment). She's 42 years old. She has family in Michigan and in Ohio. Randa is a mother, sister and daughter. Please help us find her.
3-3-09 I just wanted to give an update on the search for Randa. There is really no update to give you. We have not heard any news and the family has not heard any new news. I am continuing to pray and search for her everywhere that I go. I am asking for all of you to do the same thing. Just please continue searching for Randa, continue praying for Randa, continue with the hope that she will come back to her family. God has a will and it will be done and Randa will be back home with her family. Thank you everyone.
3-11-2009 Today is the anniversary of a month since Randa went missing. Today the reward has been increased from $1000 to $6000. We are really hoping that someone comes forward with some kind of information about the whereabouts of Randa or with some kind of explanation. Keep praying.
--Det. Ron Skarzynski of the Fenton Police Department continues to follow-up on every tip and lead that comes in. He said in the past few days, he has not received any calls, however.
--The detective recently viewed an enhanced version of video footage captured by a motion detector surveillance camera located at Randa’s apartment complex. Nothing new was revealed in this tape.
--In addition to the $1,000 reward offered by the family of Randa, for information leading to her safe return, the Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation, based in California, is now offering another $5,000 reward.
--If the police investigation determines that a homicide has occurred, the Sund/Carrington Foundation will then post the reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
--If anyone who was in the area of her apartment the night she went missing recalls anything out of the ordinary or knows of her current whereabouts, they are to contact the Fenton police at (810) 629-5311. Callers may remain anonymous.
