- We are just trying to build a group where current and former students can catch up with old acquaintances, see some new looks on some old faces (some older--- myself included! -- than others), some old looks on the same old faces, and stay up on the news of the day in Tarleton Mathematics. The site is under construction but will undoubtedly grow with some momentum. Looking forward to your joining.... but only if you have Tarleton mathematics in your bloodline.;-) Spread the word!

- In August 2005, the Mathematics building officially opened for business. We now have the best instructional classrooms on campus, fully equipped with Sympodium color pen displays (better than SMART boards!), digital document cameras, computer, walltalker marker/projection boards, multimedia podiums, and dvd/vcr players and sound systems.
In April 2008, the department (for the 2nd time in history; first was over 20 years ago) hosted the Annual Meeting of the Texas Section of the MAA. We had approximately 350 mathematicians from all over the state (and some from outside of Texas) visit our campus for a 2-day meeting that included a Calculus Bowl, lots of math talks, a student game/pizza party, and the mathematics of the simpsons! The meeting web site is still up at
