This is the official facebook group for the H.R.S!
An underground society for people who love clubbing (anyone can join), appreciate DJs that can mix, and like to hear about decent up and coming dance events and house parties.
We run competitions for our members to win free entry to top events! (See below for more information on how to enter).
Please use the group to discuss tunes, post mixes, talk about events and arrange meet ups. (Please do not spam the group, large chunks of obvious advertisements will be deleted).
We are passionate about alternative dance music, anything from:
* Trance/ Progressive/ Techtrance/ Hardtrance/ Psytrance
* Techno/ Acid techno/ Minimal techno
* Electro
* Hardhouse/ Progressive House/ House
* Drum and Bass/ Breaks/ Dub Step
The list goes on....!!!
"I live for the nights I won't remember, with the friends I'll never forget".
We love to meet new, fun, random, interesting people.
Here's what one of our members, who is a student at Sheffield Hallam University, had to say:
"Thank goodness there are people who are not excited by the rubbish that Pounded/Sheff 1/Flirt/Climax/Embrace etc spurt out."
And someone at Sheffield University:
"Student nights are generally cheesey and the DJs can't mix. This society is mint."

OUR HISTORY:
The Society was set up originally because we were disappointed with the lack of decent student nights that existed and had a vision of creating a new scene, as well informing students of the amazing events that were already out there, that some of them just hadn't heard of such as Gatecrasher, Planet Zogg, Urban Gorilla and so on! The Society has had unbelievable success to date, with over 2000 members engaging with it. We hope to one day move into the Union and give Hallam students an event they can be proud of.
