Massive respect must go out to Contact for continuing to put on some of the best events the uk has to offer. Lab4 has been playing for Contact for over decade now. First of all at the Pier and now Dj'ing at the amazing Fort parties. If you've never been to a Contact event then you are seriously missing out on some of the most unique and original events the uk dance scene has to offer. Unbeatable locations, great music and a party atmosphere all go to make a truely unmissable event. Can't wait for the next one... ;)

CONTACT - A BRIEF HISTORY ___________________________
CONTACT is all about the music , breaking new talent and bringing a large range of more underground sounds to a wider audience We have helped keep part of the underground electronic music scene alive and kicking since its birth in the heady rave days when the early UK RAVE scene was in its prime in the late 80’s and early 90’s Clubs and underground innovators like Sterns , Club UK , The Manor , Fantasia , Spooky , Universe , Tribal Gathering , Labyrnth , Rhythm Station and many more events were sweaping across the land which we were a part of and a lot of our inspiration comes from this era
Contact was born through pure passion for many types of dance music since it started and after following and involvement at various underground clubs , promotions & locations since 1991
The first events associated with the CONTACT ethos started way back in 1994 but under other different names.
The name CONTACT came about because of its meaning and was then started to be used in 1998 as a series of free parties. Moving to the wedgewood rooms in 1999 still carrying on with the tradition of free parties but in a club enviroment we brought down up & coming artists that were suppling the best music at the time These were little known now superstar djs such as BK , FERGIE , KARIM , JUSTIN BOURNE , OD404 , SUPERFAST OZ , NICK SENTIENCE and his early band SENTIENCE ( LIVE PA consisting of Tom Neville , King Roc & Nick ) and many more who grew to become the massive international stars they are today and all for free
A year or so went by and CONTACT had completely outgrown the Wedgewood Rooms with people cueing up half a mile down the road , so needed a bigger venue and moved to The Pier which became its home for the next 10 yrs
Over this time one of the most popular nights on the south coast has brought you almost every top international artist right to your doorstep with DJs flying in from Japan , Germany , Finland , Denmark , Holland and other countries around the world along with the freshest and best underground and up & coming talent. You wont get any boring DJs at Contact thats for certain
Along the way it has including many themed nights and tours and mighty collaborations at venues such as MINSTRY OF SOUND , SE1 , CAMDEN PALACE , BRIXTON ACADEMY , LAKOTA , CUSTARD FACTORY , THE FRIDGE , FRANTIC , BIONIC , KIDDFECTIOUS , FUSION , ANTIWORLD , RIOT , RESONATE , BLUTONIUM , UBERDRUCK , MIXMAG , UPFRONT MAG and the newest adventure for last 4 yrs OVERLOAD THE FORT. With dozens of others over the yrs including many NYE events , free payback parties , Charity Fundraisers for good causes and many sell out shows ..........................
